We are thinking about going to the American Girl Outlet store in Oshkosh but were wondering what all is in the store? Do they sell the dolls or is it just outfits? Also, it is about a 6 hour drive so what else is around Oshkosh for us to do? We are going in the summer. We plan on spending two days there. Thanks in advance.

The outlet mostly sells the girl sized clothing. They have some outfits for the dolls, and right now they have 2 of the Hopscotch Hill dolls because AG is discontinuing that line, but normally they don't carry any dolls. As far as outfits/accessories for the dolls, it's mostly hit and miss what you will find there.

The outlet has a 4 day warehouse sale every summer, usually around the 3rd week of June. It's always on Th/F/Sat/Sun. You don't need tickets to get in. They never have dolls-mostly outfits for dolls, especially GOT. They have good prices, so that might be a good time to try and plan your trip. If you can't come then, check the internet for EAA weekend-it's usually 3rd weekend in July-because you wouldn't want to come then, unless you're really into flying. It's really hard (and expensive) to find lodging for that week.

The Madison Museum sale is in July, so you could try to come then, and take a swing up through Oshkosh after-they are about 1.5 hours apart.

As far as things to do, there is a nice Children's museum in Appleton, the Packer Hall of fame in Green Bay, and the Wi Dells have lots of things to do as a family and wouldn't be too far away. If you husband likes to fish, there are lots of lakes/campgrounds in Wi.

The outlet is nice, but it really isn't something to plan a whole trip around. It's not like AG Place. The whole store is about half the size of an average Hallmark store. Sometimes they have good stuff, but a lot of times, they mostly have the things that are on sale online. You just wouldn't have to pay shipping, but that's not really enough to justify a 6 hour trip. I would try to schedule it around the MCM sale or the warehouse sale to make it worth the trip.

(there are some nice hotels in Green Bay with waterparks inside-you could check if they would be running any package deals.)

They only have the doll outfits. There were about 12 of them there when we went. Ones that were either leaving soon or already retired. They also had Molly's table and chairs when I went and Kits bed. They also had all the books and the historical outfits that went with their short stories. I remember coconut being there with the bed time accessories. They had a lot of Hopscotch Hill stuff and bitty baby stuff. They had a tone of clothes for girls for very reduced prices. When I was there I asked if the items were seconds but and they said no that it is just over stock. They also had Molly's Halloween book which comes with some materials as well as Samantha's Valantine book kit.

The outlet store is connected to a huge outlet mall. You could take a whole day looking around at all the other stores. You can see the American Girl outlet from the freeway. There is also the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) It is the history of flight and man made airplains. There is still an airport there. It is a huge museum with a good tour. Lot of hands on things. I thought it was interesting. I see that you are from Michigan. There is also a lot to do in Milwaukee. They have the new Art Museum, the zoo (they just opened the new cats exibit. I know it is one of the best zoo's in the country. We also have a great museum with ziscovery world and an imax. Okay I better stop you only have two days!

    Hope this helps

Thanks for all the information. My mom is thinking about us spending a day in OshKosh and a day in Chicago.
